# Vollkorn font files

The existing `vollkorn-bold.woff2` is the website's book-title font. It was reused
without modification for the C18 font comparison.

The following unmodified files were downloaded on 2026-09-15 from Google Fonts
for local use in `static/hero-card-fonts.html`:

- `vollkorn-regular.ttf`: https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/vollkorn/v30/0ybgGDoxxrvAnPhYGzMlQLzuMasz6Df2MHGuGQ.ttf
- `vollkorn-italic.ttf`: https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/vollkorn/v30/0ybuGDoxxrvAnPhYGxksckM2WMCpRjDj-DJGWmmZ.ttf

Source stylesheet:
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Vollkorn:ital,wght@0,400;0,700;1,400&display=swap

All three files use the SIL Open Font License; see [OFL.txt](OFL.txt).
The page requests only these local font files at runtime. Chromium's actual
rendered-font inspection confirmed `Vollkorn-Regular`, `Vollkorn-Italic`, and
`Vollkorn-Bold`, all loaded as webfonts.
